The Fildwith Ensemble Theatre, Inc. is a not-for-profit company in New York City, established in 2005, following thirteen successful years at our associate summer theatre company in the Adirondack Mountains, the Boquet River Theatre Festival.

Our purpose is to provide a supportive "creative home" for our gifted ensemble of actors, playwrights, composers, directors and choreographers.   The Fildwith is a nurturing place where artists are encouraged to keep their expressive spirits actively engaged - and to which they are always welcome to return between or after other professional jobs in the often dishearteningly competitive field of theatre.

Our creative artists collaborate on high-quality enlightening productions of new plays and musicals that celebrate the resilient human spirit and the elevating power of generosity, compassion and kindness in this complex world.

Our company supports and promotes the talents of children, teens and adults in providing challenging, meaningful theatrical opportunities for both established and emerging professional artists.

Adult artists in our company are compensated.  
Children and teenage artists are rewarded with professional training, experience and exposure.  
There are no participation fees for any artists.

Box office receipts cover less than one-fourth of the cost of each Off-Broadway production;
we are extremely grateful to our generous benefactors for helping us stay afloat.
