CURRENT PRODUCTIONS | UPCOMING PRODUCTIONS | PAST PRODUCTIONS A FEW WORDS FROM FILDWITH ENSEMBLE THEATRE ACTORS... I have been with the Fildwith for two years. I have learned so much from being in the company. In the beginning, I was very shy and did not have the guts to take risks in my acting. Since working with our inspiring creative team, I've become relaxed and confident in my acting abilities. In Ragamuffins, I used this glorious experience when I was preparing for my crying scene. The friends I have made, the fun rehearsals, all of it reminds me of how much I would miss this if it was over. I love this company! Being a part of the Fildwith has undoubtedly changed my life: I have gained a new confidence with my acting ability and learned I can really do anything if I apply myself and work my hardest. I have also made some of the best friends I could ever hope for, and they're relationships I know will last my whole lifetime. At our theatre, you are not only working with professionals, you're putting on a show with some of the most dedicated, hardworking people who really care about both you and your craft. Fildwith has been the greatest experience for me - I love it. My fifth grade school show was fun, but I never really had that feeling of acting until I was in this theater company. After Ragamuffins in 2004 I learned that I want to get serious in the whole business, and by the time I did Interaction in 2005 I was auditioning and acting professionally. After every Fildwith show I loved acting more and more. The reason I do is because of the friends and the fun that we all have on stage. I love rehearsing shows with the Fildwith Ensemble Theatre. It's fun because you make tons of friends with the other actors and it all adds up to a great show! Erika is an excellent director and a good friend to me. Sean, Ion, Janine and Anjeanette are all really special to me to too. Everyone treats me like the best little sister they ever had! I love acting, but I did not realize how much I L-O-V-E-D acting until becoming a member of Fildwith. I came into my first show late (as a replacement), but everyone made me feel welcome right away. Even though there were company members that were more experienced on stage than I, I was treated with the same respect as everyone else. All the actors of Fildwith are great actors, but even nicer people; everyone is so generous with their support. I've become a better actor because I have been lucky to be part of the Fildwith family, and it truly is a family. I can't wait to do our next show! I've been in two Fildwith shows, and each one taught me so much. Everyone is so amazing, the kids are great, the experience is breathtaking - and Erika, Ion, Sean, Janine and Raluca are the best directors and friends! I have grown so much as an actor and a person from being in our ensemble. The opportunity I have been given is unbelievable. I hope to be a part of the Fildwith Theatre forever - and I know I will. Our company provides a home for young actors. Our director has helped make me an actor; she has taught me a lot. She was auditioning my sister when I was six, and it just so happened that she wanted to see me too. I could not have been in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway the next year without all of the help from Erika and our fantastic staff. Fildwith has helped me make a lot of friends. Fildwith has been a great experience for me. The amazing thing about this organization is that everyone, no matter how small or large their role, is made to feel important to the production. We all learn so much and are helped to perform to the very best of our abilities. I feel great acting in a play before audiences that are so impressed with the performance. Fildwith is giving me an opportunity to have a career as an actor. I like meeting other kids in NYC who share my passion for performing - and working together with them on a show! This company has made me make new friends that I will hold onto forever; we really are like a whole family. I have learned that every line in a play is golden, to listen to other characters in the play, and of course to have fun. In the future, I would like to be an actress/dancer/singer on Broadway. To be a part of the Fildwith Ensemble is an amazing opportunity. I love our ensemble because everyone has an equal role, and each one is just as fun and interesting as the other. When my friends asked me the lead character's name, I thought and said, "There isnât one!" Ragamuffins in 2004 was my first acting experience except for school plays. Being in Ragamuffins, and then Interaction, has been a great learning experience, and meeting and making friends with the other cast members - all very nice and funny people - has been the best part. Fildwith is a big part of my life, and I hope to continue working with the company. Being a member of the Fildwith was more than I ever imagined. Our ensemble gave over 110% each performance. I was proud to be a part of it. We had fun and laughs but we each knew we had a job to do when we walked on that stage. I cannot express how much I grew from this experience, it was an awesome feeling as it all came together. I cannot wait to be in another show. Ode to Our Director |
